The 2022 TCS New York City Marathon will begin on Sunday morning with the historic marathon back to its usual field of 50,000 runners. There was no race in 2020 and in 2021, the field was limited to 30,000 runners, 25,000 of which actually finished the course. The 26.2-mile race will be starting in Staten Island and then heading north through Brooklyn and Queens. Runners will then head west across the Queensboro Bridge into Manhattan, up north into the Bronx and back to Manhattan to finish in Central Park. Weather conditions will be on the warmer side, with a forecast of cloudy skies with temperatures in the 60s to start the race in the morning.
Fifty-thousand people, who may or may not be oblivious to the concept of a lazy Sunday morning, are geared up to hit the mean streets of NYC for the 2022 New York Marathon, restored to full glory for the first time in three years.
